Recently retired Hall of Fame Jockey Pat Day has been honored with a new limited edition print by acclaimed equine artist Kathy Sullivan. Proceeds from the print will benefit the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America. The print, entitled "Derby Day," features Day wearing the distinctive racing silks from his victory in the 1992 Kentucky Derby aboard Lil E. Tee.

Day authorized the commision of the painting to assist the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, a national organization of Chaplains from several denominations that serve the work force of the horse racing industry. "The painting is a wonderful honor and it is a pleasure to be able to recapture one of my fondest racing moments to serve the chaplaincy," said Day.

Louisvillian Kathy Sullivan, the featured cover artist for the 2005 Kentucky Derby Souvenir Magazine whose work is prominently displayed thoughout Churchill Downs was selected for this project. Sullivan, known for her unique expressionistic style blending color and texture says," I am thrilled to have been chosen for this project honoring one of horse racing's greatest legends."

The print, measuring 20" x 24" is limited to a total editon of 250 pieces, each signed and numbered by Sullivan and Day. The price, $118.00 appropriately represents Lil E. Tee's victory in the 118th Run for the Roses.
